How advance should I make the booking?
At least 24hours advance booking required. An Express Service fee of S$30 is chargeable for casting session booked within 1-3 days.
Where will my casts be taken?
At the hospital or your house.
How long will the casting take?
It can take from 30mins to an hour depending on baby’s mood. The setting of mold takes only a minute but it may seem forever for a baby!
What do you use to cast?
The casts are taken using medically approved seaweed based material called “Alginate” It’s hypoallergenic for most skin types and is safe to use on the most delicate skins of babies and children alike and allows for rapid molds, making incredible detailed casts! This material is also used for dental impression and as a mold making material for prosthetic limbs!
What to take note about casting?
Due to the nature of casting there may be slight imperfections. After the mold is taken, and the cast is fully dry, the cast then goes through a process of being prepared to ensure any of these imperfections are kept to a minimum prior to the paint being applied. This process takes about 4 weeks.
What does my baby need to wear?
I would recommend that you don’t dress you baby in their best clothes! Although alginate is completely washable, it saves you worrying. Clothes that are easy to remove and put back on are a great idea.
Photos and Keepsake items
For packages that include photo and/or keepsake items, they are to be provided by the Customer. For photo, soft copy of high resolution sharp photo (at least 1 mb) is recommended.
How do I pay?
50% deposit is required on the day of your casting session, the balance can be paid when the finished product is delivered to you. We accept payments only by Cash, PayNow, Paylah or IB.
Can I order extra sets for my family or friends?
Yes. When casting your baby, we will take extra casts to ensure quality of finish. Should all finalise to our high standards, we would offer the extra casts to be framed for family and friends at a discounted rate.
Do you offer Gift Certificate?
Yes.
These make the ideal Christmas, Christening, Birthday, Mother’s & Father’s day gifts. They can be purchased in form of available packages (from S$158) and redeem within 6 months from date of purchase. Recipient can choose a higher value package by paying the difference.
Can I cancel my order?
As you will understand, the item you are commissioning is unique to your Baby. Once the molds have been taken and have chosen the finish and frames you would like, you are committed to the order and to paying the balance.
Each item is hand crafted and individual to you and as such has no resale value. Your order will personally delivered to you, show the finished piece to your satisfaction and collect the remaining balance.
